David Loggan, Oxonia Illustrata, 1675 The classic Oxford print. Loggans are among the most sought after engravings of Oxford. These are exceptionally sharp, dark, and clear impressions--some of the best we have ever seen. Rudolph Ackermann, History of the University of Oxford, 1812-16 Ackermann's aquatint prints are perennial favorites. They are some of the earliest and loveliest colored prints of Oxford. A lovely set of large college prints in the tradition of Loggan.
Subjects other than Oxford: David Robert's lithographs of Egypt and the Holy Land are among the most popular and collectable prints of the 19th century.
